Thats going to be very hard to find. I would search for a LFS that can special order them for you. They most likely wont charge you for shipping.

Frage von MONKEYBARRS : Anyone know about special needs of discus fish aquariums?
I’ve been wanting to start a discus tank, but don’t know too much about special requirements. Are they pretty hardy fish? How many can I put in a 55 gal. tank…and can I add them all at once, or only a couple at a time? Is reverse osmosis a requirement? I have a lot of experience with aquariums…but not discus. How do they compare to plain tropical fish and Oscars as far as hardiness? Can they handle variation in water parameters?

they’re quite sensitive when it comes to water conditions. they need PERFECT water.
many discus keepers do twice weekly water changes.
a 55 is sufficiant for Discus, i’m not sure how many though. i’ve heard varying things on stocking these guys.
to get that perfect water some Discus keepers have peat in their filters. they’re NOT hardy when it comes to variations in water parameters and tankmates need to be chosen carefully.
have a look at the link below for more details. i’ve never attempted Discus, they’re too expensive to go wrong with!

Frage von manoj d : My discus fish is not eating and staying segregated from other fishes and its fins look like distorted?
i checked out its fins…ventral and dorsal both..they look like some fish have bitten it.and my poor discus is not eating properly…little worried ..anyone have any answer what has happened..

If your fish are having fin problems its because some fish feed on their fins!Find out who’s doing it asap and get them out of the tank.
Their staying segregated to live!

Frage von Tina M : Anyone know of a good place to get discus fish near houston?
I am visiting a friend in Houston this weekened and I tried googling live fish near houston/discus fish near houston but google does not have very many matches. If I do live fish in austin there are several places that come up with addresses and websites and all that great stuff. You would think Houston would have a lot of sites out there.

i kno about a shop or two in houston but i wouldnt search for live fish i would search for “pet store fish” in google maps once u find the person’s house and click search nearby. Live fish is a horrible keyword to use thats y u didnt get many results. For Discus i would search for dedicated hobbyists who are breeding them because you wont get that many color variations in some stores ive only seen dull colored green ones no high quality red or anything. I tend to buy my high quality fish from long distances via Overnight mail.
